Mock AI: practice with a voice interviewer

Mock AI is a practice interview. An AI interviewer that has read your resume asks you questions out loud, you answer out loud, and you get a report card at the end. Open it from the sidebar: Mock AI sits under AI tools, right below Interview AI.

Start one

1. Open Mock AI from the sidebar.
2. Pick your interviewer: Maya (Friendly Recruiter, easy), David (Hiring Manager), Priya (Technical Lead) or Marcus (Tough Executive, hard).
3. Pick one of six voices. Press ▶ next to a voice to hear it first.
4. Choose Behavioral, Technical or Mixed. Add a company and a job post if you have them. Both are optional.
5. Pick your resume. No resume yet? You can upload one right there.
6. Press Start interview.

During the interview

• The interviewer asks up to 6 questions out loud and follows up when an answer is vague.
• Answer out loud. Your words show up as you speak. Prefer typing? That works too.
• The AI Suggested Answer for each question appears on its own. It's written the same way as in a live interview, from your resume.
• The whole thing takes about 10 minutes.

Your report card

When the interview ends you get:

• An overall score out of 100, and how it was worked out (each check and its points)
• What worked and what to fix, answer by answer
• A stronger version of each answer, built only from your resume and what you said. Where it needs a detail you didn't give, it leaves a blank in [brackets] for you to fill in.

Only your score is saved, to show your practice progress on Home. The interview itself isn't saved: a mock never shows up in Interview AI (your sessions) and doesn't use your live-interview minutes. Press Download report (or Copy) before you leave if you want to keep it.

"A day" means the last 24 hours, not the calendar day. If a mock fails to start, it doesn't count.

Common questions

Q: Is Mock AI in the desktop app? A: Not yet. It runs in your browser.

Q: Do I need a microphone? A: It works best with one, but you can type every answer instead.

Q: I don't see Mock AI in my sidebar. A: It shows for every signed-in account. Reload the page. Still missing? Contact us (below).
