About this role
1X is seeking a Compliance Associate Test Engineer to execute electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing for humanoid robots destined for home use. You'll manage internal pre-compliance testing, laboratory operations, and coordinate external certifications while supporting troubleshooting efforts to resolve EMC issues before formal approval.
What you'll do
- Execute internal EMC pre-compliance testing to identify emissions and immunity issues early in development
- Maintain EMC laboratory equipment, fixtures, calibration records, and test infrastructure
- Investigate EMC failures through structured troubleshooting and diagnostic data collection
- Coordinate external certification activities including scheduling, logistics, and documentation
- Generate accurate test reports and regulatory documentation for global product certifications
- Improve internal EMC testing capabilities and workflows to reduce certification risk
