About this role
1X is hiring a Field Reliability Engineer to own the reliability and real-world performance of NEO, their humanoid home robot. You'll analyze field failures, drive cross-functional root cause investigations, and build data systems that reduce warranty costs and improve product reliability at scale.
What you'll do
- Track and reduce field failure rates through systematic corrective and preventative action closure
- Investigate emerging customer issues by analyzing sensor telemetry, software logs, and physical failure modes
- Lead cross-functional root cause analysis across Hardware, Software, and AI teams
- Build reliability dashboards and statistical analysis tools to surface failure trends and anomalies
- Report monthly warranty cost trajectory and data-driven prioritization of fixes
- Develop Python tools and leverage AI to accelerate failure data analysis
