Android Engineer (Services & SDK)

About this role

42dot seeks an Android Engineer to develop on-device services and SDKs for Android Automotive OS, creating vehicle-specialized client services that integrate with cloud backends and providing extensible SDKs for app developers.

What you'll do

• Develop Android Automotive-based client services including Pleos Automotive Service
• Design and implement SDKs enabling easy integration of automotive services into vehicle applications
• Create stable, differentiated features for on-device services with cloud synchronization
• Provide cloud service functionality to app developers through SDK interfaces
• Ensure compatibility and reusability across diverse automotive applications
• Build standards-based Android platform for future vehicle service experiences

• Android development and framework knowledge
• Java/Kotlin programming
• Asynchronous processing (Coroutines)
• RESTful API or gRPC communication
• AIDL and Android Services
• Real-time database synchronization
• Clean Architecture and modularization
