Android Engineer (UI Framework)

About this role

42dot, Hyundai Motor Group's software center, seeks an Android Engineer to develop in-vehicle UI frameworks for Android Automotive OS. You'll design customizable UI components, optimize interfaces for embedded automotive displays, and collaborate with design and platform teams to deliver intuitive, safety-conscious experiences.

What you'll do

• Create SDK of customizable UX elements for first and third-party applications and System UI
• Implement UX flows for in-vehicle features like Media, Settings, Dialer, and SystemUI
• Develop tools to import designs from Figma into code management and build systems
• Optimize UI responsiveness, animations, and rendering for varied hardware and displays
• Work with Android framework team on system surfaces and services for vehicle integration
• Debug and resolve UI performance, rendering, and compatibility issues across hardware variants
