Connectivity Software Engineer

About this role

42dot seeks a Connectivity Software Engineer to develop middleware and SDKs that seamlessly integrate mobile devices with in-vehicle infotainment systems on Android Automotive OS. You'll design core technologies enabling smartphones, wearables, and vehicles to communicate, creating smart mobility experiences.

What you'll do

• Develop phone projection solutions based on Android Automotive (Android Auto, CarPlay, iAP2)
• Build casting and mirroring solutions for vehicle connectivity
• Design and implement communication protocols for cross-device interactions
• Create middleware connecting IVI systems with mobile ecosystems
• Develop SDKs extending mobile experience to vehicle environments

• C, C++, Java, or Kotlin programming
• Android and Linux development experience
• Android Application Framework knowledge (Binder, Service, HAL)
• Bluetooth and Wi-Fi stack implementation
• Socket communication protocols
• Computer networking fundamentals
