Embedded SW Engineer

About this role

42dot, Hyundai Motor Group's software center, seeks an experienced Embedded SW Engineer to develop core Linux-based applications for next-generation in-vehicle infotainment and autonomous driving systems. You'll optimize performance and reliability while collaborating across hardware, firmware, and cloud teams to advance software-defined vehicle technology.

What you'll do

• Design and implement Linux-based in-vehicle applications for infotainment and autonomous driving
• Integrate system-level components across real-time and user-space applications with hardware and firmware teams
• Optimize performance, reliability, and boot times of embedded Linux platforms
• Debug complex system-level issues spanning middleware, kernel, and user-space layers
• Contribute to system architecture and software design reviews for security and scalability
• Define test strategies with QA to ensure high code quality

What they're looking for

• Embedded Linux development (10+ years)
• C/C++ and/or Rust programming
• Inter-process communication (IPC) and POSIX APIs
• Linux build systems (Yocto, CMake, Make, Bazel)
• System resource management and memory handling
• Low-level debugging and problem-solving
• Python and shell scripting
• Threading and concurrent systems
