About this role

42dot is seeking an IVI OS Engineer to develop and optimize Ethernet/WiFi/Telephony network frameworks for Android-based in-vehicle systems. The role involves customizing network stacks, implementing HAL interfaces, and ensuring reliable vehicle-to-system communication across multiple network types in automotive environments.

What you'll do

  • Customize and optimize Ethernet framework for reliable, low-latency communication between Android devices and other vehicle systems
  • Implement network manipulation techniques including packet filtering, routing tables, VPN, and proxy settings for optimal network environments
  • Develop and maintain remote Radio/Wi-Fi HAL implementations for external modems and wireless devices
  • Design network isolation and segmentation across multiple vehicle systems based on security policies
  • Ensure proper network path selection for apps and services across PANS, OEM, vehicle, and internet networks
  • Integrate and manage LTE/5G connectivity through RILD and modem interfaces
