System Framework Engineer

About this role

42dot seeks a System Framework Engineer to design and develop core system frameworks for the Pleos Vehicle OS, including standard interfaces, resource management, distributed messaging, lifecycle management, and fault tolerance capabilities. This role focuses on optimizing and maintaining critical infrastructure for connected vehicle applications.

What you'll do

• Design and develop system frameworks for Pleos Vehicle OS
• Implement standard interfaces and system resource management across distributed systems
• Build and optimize distributed messaging frameworks and fault tolerance systems
• Optimize, maintain, and ensure quality of system framework components
• Manage lifecycle and data consistency in the vehicle operating system

What they're looking for

• Middleware/framework development on Linux platforms (Tizen, AGL, GENIVI, CCOS, WebOS)
• Rust, C, or C++ programming
• Distributed systems architecture and design
• Real-time data processing
• Messaging frameworks (DDS, gRPC, Some/IP, MQTT)
• System profiling and debugging
• Data Distribution Service (DDS) or Zenoh
