About this role

ABOUT 8FLEET

8Fleet is hiring! We are a rapidly growing LA-based technology and logistics startup building the operational infrastructure for both autonomous and non-autonomous rideshare fleets. Our drivers are at the center of everything we do, and as we grow in Atlanta, we are building a team to make sure every new driver starts with us trained, set up, and ready to succeed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an Onboarding Supervisor, based in Atlanta, to run our driver onboarding center day to day. You will lead new hire orientation, get drivers set up in our systems, coordinate test drives, and be the go-to person for new drivers through their first few weeks with 8Fleet.

This is a hands-on, on-site role built for someone who is organized, friendly, and comfortable keeping a busy schedule moving. Your work makes sure our Fleet Supervisors get drivers who are ready to hit the road from day one.

SCHEDULE

Full-time, hourly, on-site. Some early mornings, evenings, or weekends may be required based on onboarding volume.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Run the Onboarding Center: Lead daily new hire orientation (NHO) sessions and keep the onboarding experience smooth, professional, and on time.

  • Driver Readiness: Make sure every new driver completes onboarding materials, understands company policies, and is fully prepared before their first shift.

  • System Setup: Set drivers up in our internal systems, manage their credentials, and keep all paperwork complete and accurate.

  • Test Drives: Schedule, coordinate, and oversee driver test drives, making sure drivers meet our safety and operating standards.

  • Scheduling and Logistics: Coordinate onboarding sessions, trainings, and test drives to keep new drivers moving without delays.

  • New Driver Support: Be the first point of contact for new drivers, answering questions and resolving onboarding issues during their first few weeks.

  • Tracking and Reporting: Track onboarding progress and completion, and flag bottlenecks to the Market team.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Fleet Supervisors, Market leadership, and operations teams on driver readiness and onboarding quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year of experience in operations, customer service, logistics, HR, or another fast-paced, people-facing role.

  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple drivers and schedules at once.

  • Clear, friendly, and professional communication, with comfort training and coaching others.

  • Comfort with Google Sheets or Excel and the ability to pick up new apps and systems quickly.

  • Reliable and punctual, with flexibility to work on-site in Atlanta, including some early mornings, evenings, or weekends.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Current or prior rideshare or gig driver experience (Uber, Lyft).

  • Experience in training, onboarding, recruiting, or people operations.

  • Experience with tools like Rippling, Deputy, or the Uber driver platform.

  • Background in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations.

COMPENSATION

  • $19 per Hour
