About this role
ABM seeks a self-directed Plant Engineer to oversee all maintenance, operations, and reliability of facility systems at a Los Angeles site. As the sole on-site engineering resource, you'll manage preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate contractors, and drive continuous improvement across plant infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Perform hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment, utilities, and facility systems
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment reliability
- Manage capital improvement projects and coordinate with external contractors
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Respond to emergency equipment failures and service requests independently
- Conduct inspections, document maintenance activities, and identify improvement opportunities
