About this role
Abnormal AI seeks an Enterprise Sales Engineer to serve as the technical authority in complex security sales cycles, guiding enterprise customers through email and identity security challenges. You'll lead architecture discussions, conduct technical discovery, manage proof-of-value programs, and partner with sales executives to close deals in the Ohio Valley region.
What you'll do
- Serve as primary technical contact and trusted advisor to security, email, and identity teams throughout enterprise sales cycles
- Lead architecture-level technical discussions and discovery to uncover customer risks and requirements
- Own and drive successful outcomes for enterprise-scale Proof of Value (POV) programs
- Conduct technical demonstrations and present competitive landscape research to address objections
- Educate sales teams and partners on platform capabilities, security posture, and why legacy solutions fail
- Drive customer satisfaction and successful enterprise outcomes with obsessive focus

- Enterprise sales engineering (5+ years)
- Technical discovery and architecture discussions
- Email security and identity security knowledge
- DNS, TCP/IP, TLS, and enterprise networking fundamentals
- SaaS cloud security models and multi-tenant architecture
- Technical presentation and communication (verbal and written)
- Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online or Google Workspace
- Email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
