Software Engineer II - Model Platform

About this role

Abnormal AI seeks a Software Engineer II to build and maintain model serving infrastructure for the Detection platform, scaling systems to handle 10x current traffic. You'll work with ML and Data Science teams to architect real-time data pipelines and feature serving services that power email and cloud attack detection.

What you'll do

• Design and deploy model serving infrastructure supporting the Detection Engine at scale
• Own projects scaling model serving and data processing services to handle significantly higher traffic volumes
• Build and maintain real-time and near real-time streaming pipelines
• Develop online feature serving services for ML applications
• Collaborate with ML Engineers and Data Scientists to translate feedback into technical solutions
• Ensure reliability and performance of distributed systems on cloud platforms

What they're looking for

• 4+ years software engineering experience with data-focused solutions
• Proficiency in AI tools for software development and discovery
• Large-scale distributed systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Real-time and streaming data pipelines
• Python, Golang, SQL, and cloud infrastructure
• Computer science fundamentals and performance optimization
• Asynchronous and written communication for remote work
• Problem-solving and independent work in fast-paced environments
