About this role

Abridge seeks Machine Learning Scientists to advance medical NLP and generative AI technology that transforms patient-clinician conversations into clinical documentation. You'll conduct cutting-edge research in conversation summarization, evidence extraction, and evaluation techniques while shipping production solutions that impact healthcare providers.

What you'll do

• Advance state-of-the-art medical NLP research in areas like conversation summarization and evidence extraction
• Define important problems, develop methods, and deploy solutions to production
• Publish original research and contribute to the wider AI research community
• Incorporate clinician feedback to guide refinements and innovations
• Navigate ambiguous problems with a results-oriented mindset
• Prototype and deliver machine learning solutions using deep learning frameworks

• Natural language processing and medical NLP
• Deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow)
• Multi-GPU training and distributed computing
• Statistical analysis of observational and experimental data
• Production-level machine learning engineering
• Foundation models and generative AI

• Strong programming and prototyping abilities
