Custom Software Engineer

About this role

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Custom Software Engineer to design and develop scalable backend systems, APIs, and AI/ML integrations for federal government clients. This role combines technical leadership, cloud-native development, and distributed systems expertise in a collaborative environment supporting defense and national security missions.

What you'll do

• Design and develop robust, scalable backend systems and event-driven APIs using FastAPI
• Conduct code and technical design reviews to ensure quality, performance, and security standards
• Integrate, containerize, and deploy AI/ML models into production environments
• Engineer containerized applications using Kubernetes on cloud platforms
• Design asynchronous processing systems using tools like Celery, RabbitMQ, and Kafka
