About this role

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Journeyman Incident Response Engineer to investigate security threats, manage incident response processes, and implement remediation strategies for federal government clients. You'll conduct digital forensics, maintain SIEM tools, develop response playbooks, and collaborate across security teams to strengthen incident prevention and response capabilities.

What you'll do

  • Investigate security incidents, perform digital forensics and malware analysis, and preserve digital evidence
  • Conduct initial triage of security alerts, determine incident scope and impact, and escalate as needed
  • Develop, maintain, and improve incident response playbooks and post-incident review processes
  • Configure and maintain SIEM solutions and other incident response tools and systems
  • Participate in threat hunting activities and contribute to security awareness training programs
  • Stay current with emerging threats and collaborate with IT and security teams on prevention strategies
