Kubernetes Engineer
About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks a Mid-Level Kubernetes Engineer to design, deploy, and operate secure container orchestration platforms for federal defense and civilian clients in on-prem and cloud environments. You'll ensure platform reliability and security while enabling application teams to adopt Kubernetes best practices.
What you'll do
- Design and operate Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift, bare-metal) for production federal workloads
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for containerized application deployment
- Harden clusters to meet federal security standards including DISA STIGs, Pod Security Standards, and RBAC configuration
- Implement and manage service mesh, ingress controllers, and secrets management solutions
- Build observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging for cluster and application monitoring
- Troubleshoot cluster incidents and partner with development teams on containerization and Kubernetes-native patterns
