Fire Protection Engineer

About this role

AcuTech Group seeks an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to advise industrial clients on fire hazards, risk assessments, code compliance, and system design for facilities handling hazardous chemicals. You'll conduct fire protection engineering analyses, design suppression and detection systems, and perform quantitative risk assessments using performance-based modeling approaches.

What you'll do

• Conduct fire hazard and risk assessments for industrial facilities handling flammable and combustible materials
• Design fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems for highly protected risk applications
• Perform fire code and standards analysis for compliance with NFPA and building fire codes
• Develop performance-based fire protection assessments using hazard and consequence modeling
• Investigate causes of fire and explosion incidents
• Travel frequently (25-50%) within the US for client work and conferences
