About this role

Adaptyv is building automated lab infrastructure that enables AI agents to design and execute biology experiments independently. As a Software Engineer on the Product team, you'll develop LabOS—the orchestration platform coordinating hardware, workflows, data processing, and AI-driven decision-making across the lab.

What you'll do

• Build interfaces and APIs for real-time lab visibility for scientists and AI agents
• Design and implement scheduling systems coordinating multiple lab instruments with complex dependencies
• Develop custom AI agents and tooling to automate experiment lifecycle decisions
• Convert proprietary lab hardware into programmable, API-controllable devices
• Own large product areas with direct impact on platform capabilities
• Process and handle messy physical-world experimental data

• Full-stack development (TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL)
• Product engineering and shipped software experience
• API design and system orchestration
