IT Infrastructure Engineer

About this role

Adventus, a global ICT solutions provider, seeks an IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage comprehensive IT documentation and support infrastructure operations in Malaysia. The role focuses on developing documentation standards, maintaining SOPs and technical guides, ensuring compliance with frameworks like ITIL and ISO 27001, and collaborating across IT teams.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain centralized IT documentation repository covering infrastructure systems, network topology, and configurations
• Create and update SOPs, runbooks, technical guides, and architecture diagrams for all IT infrastructure components
• Establish documentation standards, templates, and version control practices across the IT team
• Conduct periodic audits of documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulations, and organizational standards
• Support infrastructure operations by assisting with server, networking, and storage system installation and maintenance
• Collaborate with IT teams and business units to capture technical knowledge and prepare compliance documentation for audits

• IT infrastructure knowledge (servers, networking, virtualization, storage, cloud services)
• Technical documentation and knowledge management tools
• Diagramming tools (Microsoft Visio, draw.io, Lucidchart)
• ITSM processes (change management, incident management, asset management)
• Written and verbal communication with ability to explain complex concepts clearly
• ITIL frameworks and ISO 27001 standards
• Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
• Attention to detail and project organization
