About this role
AeroVect seeks a Field Robotics Engineer to develop and deploy autonomous vehicle software for airport ground handling operations. You'll work across the full autonomy stack, troubleshoot systems at customer sites, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure robust autonomous performance.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain autonomous vehicle software using C++ and ROS2
- Debug and troubleshoot autonomy stack issues in real-time at customer locations
- Integrate new features with hardware and software engineering teams
- Conduct and orchestrate field tests to validate vehicle performance and safety
- Analyze field test data to identify issues and optimize system performance
- Obtain and maintain airport security badge clearance
What they're looking for
- C++ programming
- ROS2 framework and tools (Rviz, Rqt, plotjuggler)
- Linux and Git proficiency
- Autonomous vehicles and robotics systems knowledge
- Complex troubleshooting and debugging
- Mathematics (linear algebra, geometry, calculus, probability)
- Python or Shell Scripting (preferred)
- Sensor integration and diagnostics (preferred)
