About this role

AeroVect seeks a Software Engineer II to join their Localization team, focusing on validation, metrics, and quality assurance for autonomous ground handling systems. You'll build regression suites, performance monitoring tools, and diagnostics while collaborating with Infrastructure and Safety teams, with growth into broader localization engineering.

What you'll do

  • Extend and maintain localization regression suite and CI-based validation pipeline
  • Build metrics and analyzers to detect performance degradation before production
  • Develop health monitoring and diagnostics tooling for localization systems
  • Validate and debug localization performance using real sensor data from autonomous operations
  • Support sensor integration, performance tuning, and platform migrations
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Sim, and Safety teams on localization tasks

  • Python and C++
  • Linux and ROS/ROS2
  • Test and validation infrastructure development
  • Localization fundamentals (sensor fusion, SLAM, GNSS/INS)
  • CI/CD pipelines and offline evaluation at scale
  • Graph-based SLAM and optimization tools (GTSAM, Ceres, GLIM)
  • Embedded compute platforms (Jetson or similar)
  • Safety-critical validation and verification
