Electrical Engineer 2

About this role

An Electrical Engineer 2 will design, develop, and test electrical systems for unmanned vehicles and related applications across R&D and production environments. The role spans embedded systems, power electronics, RF devices, and battery management, requiring expertise in PCB design, firmware, and systems integration for military and commercial platforms.

What you'll do

• Design and test electrical systems for UAVs, UGVs, and USVs across military and commercial applications
• Develop and maintain electrical documentation including schematics and wiring diagrams using version control systems
• Design, test, and review PCB layouts and manage compliance with military standards and regulations
• Develop automated programming and testing equipment for circuit boards and subassemblies
• Support hardware prototyping, system bring-up, and hardware-in-the-loop testing
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve technical issues

• PCB design software (Altium, Eagle, KICAD, Fusion360)
• Electrical simulation tools (LTspice, RF simulation software)
• Embedded systems and C/C++ programming (ARM processors)
• RF design and antenna knowledge
• Industry protocols (I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, UART, LVDS, HDMI)
• Lab equipment operation (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs, logic analyzers)
• Soldering and hardware assembly
• Problem-solving and technical communication
