Electrical Engineer 3

About this role

Senior electrical engineer role designing and maintaining sophisticated electrical systems for unmanned vehicles and avionics platforms. Lead larger technical projects, mentor team members, and take ownership of PCB design, RF systems, embedded electronics, and flight test operations across multiple locations.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and test electrical systems for UAVs, UGVs, and USVs including avionics, power subsystems, and communication systems
• Design and review PCB layouts from schematic through implementation using ECAD tools
• Lead and mentor engineering team members on larger projects and initiatives
• Support flight test events, rapid prototyping, and hardware-in-the-loop testing
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide technical support to production staff
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance

• Embedded systems and microcontroller programming (C/C++, ARM processors)
• RF design and simulation (ANSYS HFSS, CST Microwave Studio)
• Circuit design and electrical simulation (LTspice)
• Industry protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, USB, HDMI, LVDS, MIPI)
• Test equipment proficiency (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers)
• Team leadership and project management
• MCAD tools (Autodesk Fusion360, SolidWorks)
