Senior mechanical engineer role focused on designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems and components for aerospace/defense applications. The position requires 6-9 years of experience and involves hands-on CAD design, prototyping, testing, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple onsite locations.

What you'll do

• Design and develop mechanical systems per customer and engineering specifications
• Create and review mechanical CAD drawings, assemblies, and component layouts using tools like Solidworks
• Perform tolerance analysis, structural trade studies, and apply DFx principles to improve manufacturability and reliability
• Conduct rapid prototyping and hands-on integration; support build, testing, and troubleshooting activities
• Manage mass properties and configuration trade-offs to meet performance targets
• Support manufacturing with work instructions, process guidance, and collaboration with technicians

• Solidworks and 2D/3D CAD design
