Cloud Platform Engineer

About this role

8am seeks an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to design and maintain infrastructure supporting their payments and practice management platform serving 200,000+ legal professionals. You'll automate AWS-based deployments, build developer-focused tooling, and establish CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with engineering teams to enhance developer experience and platform reliability.

What you'll do

• Automate deployment, monitoring, and management of AWS cloud infrastructure
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes-based deployments
• Create internal developer tooling and automation to improve productivity
• Design and implement infrastructure as code solutions for provisioning and management
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize workflows and resolve bottlenecks
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide emergency support as needed

• Kubernetes administration and container orchestration
• CI/CD pipeline development (CircleCI, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)

• Python, Ruby, Bash, or JavaScript scripting
