Performance Quality Engineer

About this role

8am seeks a Performance Quality Engineer to establish performance observability and drive data-informed decisions about system behavior on their microservices-based SaaS platform. You'll design test suites, analyze metrics, identify capacity risks, and collaborate across Platform Engineering and Product teams to catch performance issues before they reach customers.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain performance test suites for microservices-based SaaS platform on AWS
• Analyze application and infrastructure logs to identify and root-cause performance degradations
• Define, track, and report performance KPIs with trend analysis and capacity forecasting
• Operate production-like environments for performance testing and regression analysis
• Integrate security-informed performance scenarios and collaborate with Security QE on overlapping concerns
• Establish CI/CD pipeline performance gates with defined pass/fail thresholds
