About this role
AfterShip seeks a Solutions Engineer to drive technical wins for mid-market and enterprise eCommerce deals. You'll partner with sales teams to uncover customer needs, deliver compelling product demos, and handle technical objections while serving as a bridge between sales, product, and customer success.
What you'll do
- Conduct discovery sessions and translate business problems into tailored technical solutions
- Deliver outcome-focused product demonstrations that emphasize business value
- Address integration, scalability, and implementation technical objections in live deals
- Regularly test and use the product to maintain technical credibility and demo quality
- Collaborate with Product and PMM teams to share field feedback and align on messaging
- Identify and drive improvements to demo narratives, sales execution, and go-to-market approach
What they're looking for
- Solutions Engineering / Sales Engineering (2+ years B2B SaaS experience)
- Technical foundation in APIs, integrations, and SaaS workflows
- Discovery and needs analysis
- Live demo delivery and storytelling
- Technical objection handling
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences
- Commercial acumen and deal focus
- Cross-functional collaboration
