About this role

AfterShip seeks a Solutions Engineer to drive technical wins for mid-market and enterprise eCommerce deals. You'll partner with sales teams to uncover customer needs, deliver compelling product demos, and handle technical objections while serving as a bridge between sales, product, and customer success.

What you'll do

  • Conduct discovery sessions and translate business problems into tailored technical solutions
  • Deliver outcome-focused product demonstrations that emphasize business value
  • Address integration, scalability, and implementation technical objections in live deals
  • Regularly test and use the product to maintain technical credibility and demo quality
  • Collaborate with Product and PMM teams to share field feedback and align on messaging
  • Identify and drive improvements to demo narratives, sales execution, and go-to-market approach

What they're looking for

  • Solutions Engineering / Sales Engineering (2+ years B2B SaaS experience)
  • Technical foundation in APIs, integrations, and SaaS workflows
  • Discovery and needs analysis
  • Live demo delivery and storytelling
  • Technical objection handling
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Commercial acumen and deal focus
  • Cross-functional collaboration
