Data Engineer

About this role

Agile Defense seeks a Data Engineer to design and deploy scalable, AI-enabled data solutions for the Department of Defense. You'll build data pipelines, machine learning models, and analytics services in secure, containerized environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical insights.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain reusable data science services for ingestion, transformation, and feature engineering within CI/CD frameworks
• Develop and operationalize ML models for decision support, anomaly detection, and pattern recognition tasks
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and create visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders
• Implement containerized ML solutions using tools like Docker, Databricks, and MLflow with proper API documentation
• Collaborate with DevSecOps, product managers, and mission teams to align technical delivery with operational requirements
• Participate in agile sprints and maintain reproducibility through strong documentation and version control practices
