Backend QA Engineer

About this role

Air Apps seeks a Backend QA Engineer to ensure reliability and performance of backend systems through API and database testing. You'll work onsite in Lisbon with 2–3 years of backend experience, combining development knowledge with QA practices to maintain high quality standards.

What you'll do

• Design and execute tests for APIs, databases, and service integrations
• Validate API functionality and performance using tools like Postman and Swagger
• Test database operations, queries, and data integrity in PostgreSQL systems
• Collaborate with engineers on code reviews to ensure quality and test coverage
• Develop and maintain automated tests for backend services
• Document defects and test results using test management tools like TestRail
