About this role

Air Apps is seeking a Backend QA Engineer to ensure reliability and performance of their backend systems through API, database, and service testing. This fully onsite role in Lisbon involves collaborating with engineering teams to maintain quality standards while working with Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL technologies.

What you'll do

• Design and execute tests for APIs, databases, and service integrations
• Validate API functionality and performance using tools like Postman and Swagger
• Test database operations, queries, and data integrity in PostgreSQL systems
• Develop and maintain automated tests for backend services
• Review pull requests and backend infrastructure changes to identify quality and performance issues
• Document defects and test results using test management tools
