QA Automation Engineer

About this role

Air Apps, a self-funded AI startup with 100M+ downloads, seeks a QA Automation Engineer to build and maintain automated test frameworks ensuring high quality across web and mobile applications. You'll work onsite in Lisbon with cross-functional teams to implement testing strategies, increase coverage, and optimize efficiency across their AI-powered resource planning platform.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications
• Create and execute automated regression, functional, performance, and API tests
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability and early defect detection
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and report issues
• Enhance test coverage by identifying critical scenarios and edge cases

• Test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright)
• Programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript)
• API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
• Git and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr)
• Software testing principles and SDLC/agile methodologies
• Performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling) - preferred
• Mobile application testing (iOS & Android) - preferred
