Security Engineer

About this role

Air Apps, a fast-growing AI-powered planning platform company, seeks a Security Engineer to protect its applications and infrastructure from cyber threats. You'll implement secure development practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and build security frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams in their Lisbon office.

What you'll do

• Develop threat modeling and conduct vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and security assessments
• Define secure coding practices and enforce them across development teams
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate security testing with DevOps
• Monitor security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures
• Design IAM policies, encryption standards, and authentication mechanisms
• Ensure compliance with security standards like ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOC 2

• Cybersecurity and application security (4+ years)
• Secure coding and OWASP Top 10
• Vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite)
• SIEM and intrusion detection systems
• Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline integration
• Network, API, and encryption security
