Customer Support Developer (Databases)

About this role

Airbyte seeks a Developer with deep database expertise to blend customer support with hands-on connector development. You'll troubleshoot complex data integration issues, write Java/Kotlin code for open-source database connectors, and advocate for customer needs across the engineering organization.

What you'll do

• Serve as primary technical escalation for database-related customer issues via email, ticketing, and video calls
• Reproduce and root-cause bugs by analyzing connector logs, query plans, transaction logs, and replication state
• Develop and maintain Java/Kotlin code for Airbyte's database source and destination connectors
• Support customers with CDC setup, schema evolution, authentication, and data warehouse/lake configurations
• Validate database version compatibility and maintain testing environments across supported engines
• Advocate for customer pain points to Engineering and Product teams to influence roadmap priorities
