Platform Engineer

About this role

AirOps seeks a Platform Engineer to build infrastructure from the ground up for a rapidly growing AI-powered content platform. You'll own the deployment pipeline, environment consistency, observability, and developer tooling that enables the entire engineering org to ship reliably and quickly.

What you'll do

• Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipeline with automated testing, staging gates, and zero-manual-step deployments
• Ensure environment parity across dev, staging, and production with consistent configs and review apps
• Build incident prevention infrastructure including health checks, migration safeguards, and deployment guardrails
• Establish observability systems that surface actionable signals and reduce false-positive alerts
• Evaluate and deploy AI-assisted developer tools to accelerate engineering productivity
• Manage ECS operations, container orchestration, RDS, and infrastructure scaling

• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (5+ years)
• AWS (ECS, RDS, infrastructure debugging)
• Production database operations and security
• Deployment automation and reliability engineering
• Developer tooling and productivity optimization
• AI/agentic coding tools and workflows
• Ruby on Rails (nice to have)
• Observability and monitoring systems
