Software Engineer, Product Backend (8+ YOE)

About this role

Airtable seeks an experienced backend engineer to design and build scalable systems powering their no-code platform used by Fortune 100 companies. You'll work on enterprise governance, AI capabilities, or platform interoperability, partnering with product and design teams to deliver features that serve millions of users.

What you'll do

• Design and implement backend systems that enhance scalability and performance across Airtable applications
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Own end-to-end implementation of new features in the Enterprise Product stack
• Work on deep backend systems including database internals, governance, or AI/integration infrastructure
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-ready features like admin controls, SSO, and AI capabilities
• Contribute to architectural decisions for large-scale web applications handling complex customer workflows
