IT Security Operations Engineer

About this role

AKASA seeks an IT Security Operations Engineer to build and maintain security infrastructure for a fast-growing healthcare AI company. You'll implement data loss prevention, email security, endpoint detection, and cloud identity hardening while automating compliance and incident response in a hybrid San Francisco role.

What you'll do

• Deploy and tune data loss prevention policies across Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, and Mac endpoints
• Stand up and operate AI-powered email security to detect phishing, BEC, and payload threats
• Configure and tune MDR/EDR for Mac fleet with automated detection and response workflows
• Harden and maintain Okta and Google Workspace configurations including MFA, access policies, and device trust
• Automate security testing, phishing simulations, access reviews, and compliance evidence collection
• Lead incident response investigations for SaaS compromise and PHI exposure incidents
