About this role

Akuna Capital, a leading options market-maker and trading firm, seeks a Python Software Engineer to join its crypto team in Chicago. You'll develop and maintain core infrastructure powering 24/7 crypto trading operations, including real-time systems for exchange integration, market data normalization, and risk reconciliation.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain real-time data pipelines for trade, position, and asset processing
• Develop exchange integration systems and market data normalization solutions
• Design position and risk reconciliation systems
• Create trader-facing applications and tools for production use
• Collaborate with traders and engineers to understand evolving operational needs
• Advise on scalable engineering solutions and system architecture
