DevOps Engineer

About this role

Alarm.com seeks a DevOps Engineer to design and manage cloud infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code solutions supporting their life safety and home automation platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering with operational responsibility to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments.

What you'll do

• Design and develop automation tools and frameworks for continuous integration and infrastructure management across the cloud stack
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, and AWX
• Evaluate and architect cloud solutions, migrate on-premises workloads to AWS and Azure
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues across development, staging, and production environments
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to maintain production service stability
• Develop operational runbooks, monitoring standards, and alert metrics to support platform health
