About this role
Alarm.com is seeking a Software Engineer II for their Protocols Team to design and maintain communication software powering millions of IoT devices. You'll develop full-stack solutions for smart home interoperability, working across device protocols, cloud services, and frontend technologies in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software for multiple platforms and technologies
- Research and integrate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to solve complex technical challenges
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle from requirements through deployment
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define solutions meeting business and technical requirements
- Balance development speed with long-term code quality and stability
- Contribute strategic ideas to product development beyond implementing specifications
