Backend Software Engineer

Alchemy is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to develop and enhance backend systems for a leading blockchain platform. The role involves significant autonomy in shaping architectural solutions, focusing on scalability and performance for a high-volume user base.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain backend infrastructure, APIs, and services
• Own architecture and implementation of distributed systems
• Address scalability and performance issues in live systems
• Lead system design discussions
• Establish best practices for backend development
• Conduct automated testing and performance validation

What they're looking for

• 5+ years in backend development
• BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with Java and Rust
• Cloud-native experience, especially AWS
• Familiarity with Kubernetes platforms like Amazon EKS
• Ability to solve complex scalability and performance problems
• Experience with distributed systems
• Self-starter with a drive for continuous learning
