Civil/Track Project Engineer
About this role
Benesch seeks a licensed Project Engineer for its Civil/Track Design department to support the design and engineering of rail and transit systems including light rail, heavy rail, and commuter rail. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals on projects for Class I, short line, and commuter rail clients while working on a hybrid schedule across multiple Midwest and Southeast locations.
What you'll do
- Serve as track design engineer on rail infrastructure projects of various scales
- Conduct quantity take-offs for track corridor components including track and civil elements
- Support track and civil discipline leads on major infrastructure projects
- Participate in development of technical specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional design teams on multidisciplinary engineering solutions
- Provide support to Project Managers throughout project lifecycle
