Land Development Project Engineer

About this role

Benesch seeks an experienced Civil Project Engineer to lead land development and municipal infrastructure projects in their Pottsville, PA office. The role involves designing site plans, managing permitting, overseeing project teams, and collaborating with clients and government agencies on projects ranging from commercial warehouses to school facilities.

What you'll do

• Lead site development projects from concept through final design and construction support
• Develop project schedules, work plans, and manage budgets and timelines
• Manage project teams and mentor junior staff on technical and professional development
• Prepare design plans compliant with industry standards, local ordinances, and state regulations
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and permitting agencies on project requirements
• Identify business opportunities and support strategic growth initiatives

• Civil and land development design
• CADD proficiency and standards compliance
• Stormwater design and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling
• Plan preparation and permitting coordination
• Project management and budget control
• Client relations and communication
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure in Pennsylvania
• Experience with municipal and government agencies
