Roadway Project Engineer

About this role

Benesch seeks an experienced Project Engineer to join their Civil Roadway team across Wisconsin locations. You'll lead transportation design projects, collaborate with senior staff and stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers while managing budgets and schedules according to DOT standards.

What you'll do

• Execute civil transportation design projects in coordination with senior staff
• Develop roadway plans and specifications in compliance with local DOT standards
• Manage project budgets and schedules as assigned by Project Manager
• Mentor and support junior staff members
• Engage with clients, public agencies, and project stakeholders
• Ensure CADD compliance and quality of independent deliverables

What they're looking for

• Civil transportation design (4+ years progressive experience)
• Civil3D design proficiency
• Plan and specification development per DOT standards
• Project budget and schedule management
• Client communication and relationship building
• CADD standards compliance
• Independent task execution and review
• Wisconsin PE license or ability to obtain via comity
