About this role
Algolia seeks an Information Security Engineer to design and automate security controls, monitoring systems, and detection mechanisms across its cloud infrastructure and products. You'll partner with engineering teams to embed security into development pipelines, manage incident response, and advance compliance initiatives while supporting a rapidly scaling SaaS platform.
What you'll do
- Design and automate security controls, detection mechanisms, and tooling for infrastructure and products
- Implement and maintain security monitoring and remediation systems to protect customer and company data
- Conduct risk assessments and threat models of core systems, services, and third-party vendors
- Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate security into features and development pipelines
- Lead incident response activities and post-incident analysis
- Manage bug bounty and vulnerability disclosure programs

- Scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Go, or similar)
- Cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- SIEM, threat detection, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems
- Incident detection, response, and vulnerability management
- Network protocols and computer systems security
- Kubernetes (preferred)
- CrowdStrike or Obsidian security tools
- Technical communication with mixed audiences
