CMMC Compliance Engineer

About this role

Allen Control Systems, a defense startup, seeks a CMMC Compliance Engineer to lead cybersecurity compliance initiatives and support IT operations. You'll implement NIST-aligned security controls, manage compliance documentation, and ensure proper handling of controlled information while maintaining daily IT support.

What you'll do

• Lead CMMC compliance efforts including gap assessments, documentation, and remediation for defense contracts
• Implement and maintain NIST SP 800-171 security controls and develop System Security Plans (SSPs)
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and continuous security monitoring
• Monitor SIEM and EDR platforms, respond to security incidents, and support audits
• Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training and policy documentation
• Provide general IT support including system administration and user troubleshooting
