Allen Control Systems, a defense startup developing autonomous targeting systems, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize production processes for robotic systems on a 2nd shift schedule. The role focuses on process optimization, equipment integration, quality control, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced engineering environment.

What you'll do

  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes including workflow layouts, assembly methods, and automation integration
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions using 8D and Fishbone methodologies
  • Conduct process capability studies, FMEA, and Gauge R&R validation
  • Manage CNC machines, test fixtures, and automated assembly line setup and maintenance
  • Track KPIs such as OEE, throughput, and scrap rates; support lean and Six Sigma initiatives
  • Evaluate vendor performance and develop incoming material protocols
