Azure Platform Engineer

About this role

Lead the design and management of an Azure cloud foundation for a municipal modernization program. This hands-on platform engineering role focuses on establishing secure, standardized, auditable infrastructure with emphasis on Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD automation, and FedRAMP Moderate compliance.

What you'll do

• Design and own Azure environment structure across dev, test, and production with strict separation and security controls
• Establish Infrastructure-as-Code standards using Terraform or Bicep and enforce them as the only deployment mechanism
• Design standardized CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps with approval gates, rollback strategies, and audit-aligned controls
• Implement security, compliance, and observability controls including Azure Policy, Key Vault, centralized logging, and FedRAMP Moderate alignment
• Configure Azure networking, identity, and access controls including VNETs, NSGs, private endpoints, and hybrid connectivity
• Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and operational excellence including cost governance and disaster recovery planning
