About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced Avionic Systems V&V Engineer to support electric aviation platform development, certification, and verification. This role combines systems engineering, safety, and compliance activities across component, system, and aircraft levels in a certification-driven environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop and manage aircraft-, system-, and component-level requirements with bidirectional traceability to verification methods and compliance evidence
  • Apply SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761 safety processes; support FHA, FTA, and FMEA activities for certification
  • Author, execute, and maintain verification plans, procedures, and test reports across lab, integration, and system-level testing
  • Define requirements-based test strategies and coordinate verification of aircraft systems including vibration, environmental control, cabin equipment, and safety systems
  • Interface with certification engineers, DERs, and suppliers to support FAA approval activities under Part 23/27/33 regulations
  • Perform system behavior modeling and ensure verification deliverables align with certification schedules and program management needs
