Design Release Engineer, Body Interior- Hard Trim

About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced Design Release Engineer to lead the development and production launch of hard interior trim components for luxury vehicles. You'll manage engineering from concept through manufacturing, ensuring premium quality, manufacturability, and on-time delivery while collaborating across design, vehicle engineering, and supplier teams.

What you'll do

• Engineer hard trim components (instrument panels, door trims, consoles, pillars, headliners, load floors) through design, packaging, and launch phases
• Translate design intent into production-feasible solutions with focus on surface quality, fit, and finish
• Manage component-level DFMEA, DVPR, tolerance stack-up analysis, and GD&T strategies for dimensional compliance
• Conduct DFM assessments, tool feasibility reviews, FAI evaluations, and support prototype builds and buck reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, vehicle engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and interior trim suppliers
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering tools and methods to accelerate product development
